Welcome to Scholar Advise. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, tutoring services, and any related services provided by us (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Services Overview

Scholar Advise provides private and group tutoring services across a range of subjects from preschool to high school, including IGCSE preparation, academic planning, and other academic support programs.

Our services may be delivered:

In-person (where available)
Remotely via video conferencing platforms

We also provide additional services such as:

Homework Assistance
Emergency Academic Support
Project Help
University/Scholarship Application Support

2. User Responsibilities

When using our services, you agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information upon registration or inquiry
Ensure your child attends scheduled sessions on time and is adequately prepared
Maintain respectful communication with tutors and staff
Not use our materials or sessions for any purpose other than education or support as agreed

3. Tutor Responsibilities

Tutors contracted with Scholar Advise agree to:

Show up on time and prepared for every session
Provide tailored lesson plans and progress updates
Maintain professionalism and uphold student confidentiality
Report any signs of abuse, neglect, or bullying disclosed by a student to the parent/guardian

4. Payments and Fees

Payment must be made in advance of sessions unless otherwise arranged in writing.
Group classes, bootcamps, and special programs may have fixed prices.
Private tutoring is charged per session or on a monthly plan.
Discounts, package deals, or scholarships may be offered at Scholar Advise’s discretion. Unpaid sessions may result in suspension of services.

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Parents or students may cancel a session with at least 24 hours' notice.
Missed sessions without proper notice may not be refunded or rescheduled.
Full refunds are available within 7 days of a program start date.
If a contract is terminated after this period, a 50% refund for unused sessions will be issued, minus a $10 administrative fee per session.
In group programs (e.g., bootcamps), no refunds will be issued after the program has commenced.

6. Session Changes and Tutor Availability

Scholar Advise values flexibility and allows for reasonable rescheduling, depending on tutor availability.
In case of tutor illness or unavailability, we will attempt to assign a substitute or offer a make-up session.

7. Intellectual Property

All website content, materials, logos, branding, and teaching tools are the intellectual property of Scholar Advise. You may not copy, distribute, or reproduce any content without written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

Scholar Advise and its tutors make no guarantees of specific academic outcomes. While we strive to provide the best educational support, student progress depends on multiple factors outside our control. Scholar Advise is not liable for:

Missed exams, grade outcomes, or performance gaps
Technical issues during remote sessions
Any indirect or consequential damages

9. Privacy

Your use of our site and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our Services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined.

10. Termination

Either party may terminate services at any time with appropriate notice. Refunds will be issued in accordance with our refund policy (see Section 5).

11. Modifications

Scholar Advise reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on the website and will be effective immediately unless stated otherwise.
